South College Pittsburgh hosts healthcare career fair for students
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 17, 2025
South College Pittsburgh hosted a career fair April 17 for its pending graduates and students in allied health and nursing programs with multiple companies in the healthcare fields.
“Pittsburgh is an important hub in the healthcare industry, and we want to connect our students with local and regional partners,” South College Pittsburgh President Anne Petrella said. “The career fair allows our students to identify opportunities before and upon graduation, and our healthcare partners can become familiar in person with potential new employees.”
The partners that participated in the career fair included Allegheny Health Network, Independence Health System, St. Clair Health, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and West Virginia University.
The event included on-site interviews, networking opportunities and tours of radiography, surgical technology, diagnostic medical sonography, nursing, medical assisting and simulation labs.
Located in Pittsburgh’s North Hills community in Cranberry Township, the South College campus offers a variety of healthcare programs, including Bachelor of Science in Nursing and healthcare-centric Associate of Science programs in Surgical Technology, Nursing, Health Science (Pre-Nursing), Radiography, Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Respiratory Therapy, along with certificate programs in Practical Nursing and Sterile Processing and other related programs.
“We have pursued and developed local community partnerships to help students in their educational endeavors,” Petrella said. “This healthcare career fair is one result of that effort, and we focus on preparing our students to be ready to enter the workforce.”
