Specific Characteristics of Nursing Roles

Nurses (LPN, nursing assistant, registered nurse, nurse practitioner & DNP specialist) are key members of the healthcare team and mostly a patient's first contact.
The nurse will typically be the first to assess immediate status of the patient, obtain vital signs for the physician and establish a set of key criteria or preparation for the physician so that they have the complete view.
